The Heart of Wild Light
Kate Orlofsky, LMT
My path in the healing arts was borne from my desire to be of service to my community through work that is deeply meaningful, grounded, and aligned with who I am. For me, Bodywork and Energy Work are ways to bring soul, freedom, and reverence into form and flow.
My love of nature deeply inspires both my life and my work. Living in Denali has cultivated in me a profound reverence for the natural world, the resilience of the body, and the importance of rhythm, rest, and connection. In a place defined by vast landscapes and powerful natural rhythms, I have come to understand healing as something deeply relational - connected to the body, the land, and the ways we move through our lives.
Inspired by the wisdom of nature and the body, my work creates space for healing, connection, and deeper listening within.
I attended the Alaska Institute of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture, and Massage Therapy, where I studied Massage Therapy alongside Eastern Medicine approaches to healing that continue to shape my perspective, practice, and inner cultivation. My work integrates therapeutic bodywork with an intuitive and holistic approach that honors the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit.
One of the deepest honors of this work is creating a space where people feel supported enough to listen to what their bodies are communicating. Whether someone is seeking pain relief, nervous system support, relaxation, or deeper connection with themselves, my intention is to offer space for people to connect with their vitality and sense of home within themselves.
Wild Light Philosophy
Wild Light Massage & Wellness is rooted in a deep reverence for the body and its innate capacity to heal. The work offered here is grounded in the understanding that the body carries its own wisdom, and that when met with attentive, compassionate care, it can orient toward balance, restoration, and wholeness.
At Wild Light, healing is not something imposed from the outside - it is something supported and invited from within. Massage, bodywork, and energy healing are approached as conversations with the body: opportunities to listen, attune, and create space for the nervous system, tissues, and spirit to soften and respond.
Wild Light honors the body’s innate wisdom and capacity to heal, grounded in the belief that every person has the right to be well in body and spirit.
One of the core beliefs of Wild Light is that the body does not need to be “fixed” - it needs acknowledgment, support, and the conditions that allow healing to unfold naturally. This work honors the intelligence of the body and the understanding that healing is both collaborative and deeply personal.
Wild Light recognizes that each person is the primary steward of their own wellbeing. Wild Light seeks to empower clients to become active participants and authors in their own health and healing journeys.
Rooted in an ethic of care and community, Wild Light believes that wellness should be accessible and that every being has the right to be well in body and spirit. Wild Light is a space where people can connect with themselves and leave feeling more resourced to inhabit their lives fully.
