FAQs

  • Energy Work is available as a standalone treatment or can be incorporated into any bodywork session.

Energy work is a grounding and restorative form of care that supports balance and wellbeing by working in the body’s energy field. Sessions may integrate Reiki, Medical Qi Gong, and Sound Healing practices depending on your needs and interests.

Reiki is a gentle, calming modality that supports relaxation, energetic balance, and overall wellbeing. Sessions often leave people feeling more grounded, clear, centered, and supported.

Medical Qi Gong is a therapeutic energetic practice rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that works with acupuncture meridians and energetic pathways throughout the body to support balance and flow.

Sessions may also incorporate tuning forks, a form of sound therapy that uses vibration and frequency to help regulate and re-tune the body’s energetic field and nervous system.

Energy Work offers a gentle space to slow down, restore, and reconnect with yourself.  Energy work may include stimulation of acupressure points, light touch, or no touch.

  • CranioSacral Therapy (CST) was pioneered and developed by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger.  CST is a gentle, hands-on method that engages the Craniosacral System: a whole-being system driven by the subtle rhythms and connective tissues surrounding the brain, spine, and nervous system.

Using a light touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, CST releases restrictions in the craniosacral and myofascial systems, which has been shown to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, as well as many other systems of the body, such as digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory, and more.

By facilitating the body's natural and innate healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and has been shown to be beneficial for people seeking help with a wide range of healthcare challenges and symptoms

Sessions are often deeply calming and support people navigating stress, chronic tension, pain, overwhelm, or the physical effects of trauma.

  • Insurance-covered massage therapy is currently in the works at Wild Light and will be available for medically necessary bodywork treatment related to pain, injuries, and other qualifying conditions.

A referral from a healthcare provider will be required, and all insurance-covered sessions must be pre-approved through Wild Light prior to booking.

Stay tuned for updates as this service becomes available.

Policies

  • Please plan to arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time so you can settle in and arrive fully for your session. If there’s a lot you’d like to discuss beforehand, allowing a few extra minutes can help ensure you still receive the full benefit of your table time.

Sessions begin at the scheduled appointment time. Out of respect for other clients and appointments, it may not be possible to extend your session in the case of a late arrival.

  • Wild Light has a 48-hour cancellation policy in order to honor both the practitioner’s time and the availability of appointments for other clients in the community.

    • More than 48 hours’ notice: No cancellation fee

    • Less than 48 hours, but more than 24 hours’ notice: $40 late cancellation fee

    • Less than 24 hours’ notice: Full session cost

Thank you for understanding that as a small, solo practice, late cancellations and missed appointments have a significant impact on scheduling and sustainability.

  • If you are running late and would still like to receive the remaining portion of your session, you are welcome to do so at the full session rate. Sessions are not discounted for shortened time due to late arrival.

If I have not heard from you within 15 minutes of your scheduled appointment time, your appointment will be considered a no-show and you will be responsible for the full session cost.  Whenever possible, I will do my best to send a brief check-in text around the 10-minute mark.
